The SCFE Co2 extraction method is used in extracting pure clove bud oil. Temperature, particle size and pressure are the effective parameters used in extracting the clove bud oil. One process that is considered optimum for extractive pure clove bud oil is SCFE Co2 extraction.
As compared to any other method, the SCFE Co2 extraction method shows significant quantitative and qualitative differences in composition as compared to clove bud oil derived by conventional methods of distillation. Flavor of clove buds is positively affected by parameters like contact time, temperature and pressure used in the oil extraction process.
Clove bud oil is a yellowish, viscous and complex oil obtained from immature clove buds which are used as spice and ingredient for flavoring. It is nice, sweet, warm and spicy and makes the best choice for aromatic purposes. Its antioxidant capabilities are very high. In many of the longevity formulas, it has been widely used.
It has anti-inflammatory, antimicrobial, hemostatic, warming, analgesic, ANTIVIRAL, antibacterial, antifungal, anti aging, stimulant, carminative, stomachic, expectorating, anti clotting, insecticidal, anti spasmodic, antiseptic properties and also has a strong anti-parasitic action. Major constituents of clove bud oil include eugenyl acetate, isocaryophyllene, β-caryophyllene and eugenol.
