Nutmeg essential oil is extracted by the process of steam distillation and is taken from the ripe seeds of the nutmeg. The fruit if obtained from the Moluccas Island which is an area known as the Spice Islands, but is also grown in other parts, like in Indonesia and even Malaysia as well as Sri Lanka.
This oil was used by various civilizations and are even used for various purposes like intestinal problems and even for the purposes of embalming the dead. It was even used for other medicinal purposes and to cure many different diseases.
